My name is Sherce Hampton. It is pronounced SHER-rees. I grew up in EL Paso, Texas. As a Military BRAT I moved to Fort Hood and attended both Killeen and Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas. As a little girl, I always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. My Barbie dolls either worked at a store, as a teacher, or as a therapist. When I was in the 3rd grade my School Counselor pulled me out of class to join a support group for students whose parents were deployed to Desert Storm. At that moment I realized I could merge my dream of becoming a teacher and counselor at a school.
Fast forward a few years I earned a BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) while working at a local store in the Killeen Mall. I taught at a high school while working on my M.Ed. (Master of Education). Now, I have been working as a high school counselor for 20 years. I started working at Counseling Solutions part time as an intern and now I am a fully licensed LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). As you can see, I am following my childhood dreams of working in all three professions. I have a passion for helping others find themselves and their way. I work with individuals, couples, and families of all ages, races and ethnicities, religions, countries of origin, and sexual orientations.
