Our Licensed Resident/Intern Clinic began five years ago. Initially it was a pilot program designed to assist people not on insurance and unable to pay for services elsewhere. Ms. Mabray is an LMFT-S and LPC-S and supervises the post graduate interns who work in the Intern Clinic. These interns have a temporary license from the state of Texas, and have all passed the state and national exams for licensure. In order to be a fully licensed therapist, the intern must document 3000 hours of service under a state approved supervisor.
The Intern Clinic is now available to anyone needing its services. We welcome everyone in our communities with an open door… it is our collective belief that each person is valuable, not their insurance. If you call 254-519-1144, our friendly staff will book you with an outstanding intern.
PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING ON A SLIDING SCALE
Fees are based on a sliding scale in relation to income and number of dependents. Students can receive services for a discounted hourly with a current student I.D.
GRADUATES
If you are a graduate, have passed your licensing exam and are looking for a supervisor, we welcome you to contact us. Our expectations and requirements are high; we are looking for outstanding people. Many of our interns/associates stay with us as therapists after the internship ends. We even have practicum students who do all of their practicums, internships, and post graduate internships here then work with us as therapists.
Many of our post graduate interns participate in Homefront Fishing, a non profit organization we support which takes Soldiers fishing and talking, www.homefrontfishingllc.com. Some of our students spend time at DaZona Life and Learning Center, working with IDD adults, https://www.facebook.com/DaZonaLifeandLearning/.
